If you are new to this forum, please keep our 8 Ground Rules in mind before you contribute to any discussions. Being mindful of these will help to keep this place a productive forum for discussion.
1. Participate Actively: We encourage participation as this is a shared learning environment. Please contribute for the maximum benefit of all.
2. Be Relevant: All topics should be relevant to the research project. Posts are not allowed to promote a business, advertise or sell anything. No illegal, spamming or bashing topics or posts are allowed.
3. Respect Others: It is an ethnically rich and diverse, multi-cultural world in which we live. Use no language that is — or that could be construed to be — offensive toward others. Racists, sexist and homophobic comments and jokes are unacceptable, as are derogatory and/or sarcastic comments and jokes directed at religious beliefs, disabilities, and age.
4. Cite Your Sources: If your contribution to the conversation includes the intellectual property (authored material) of others, e.g., books, newspaper, magazine, or journal articles — online or in print — they must be given proper attribution.
5. Be Constructive: Criticism must be constructive, well-meaning and well-articulated. Rants directed at any other contributor are simply unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
6. Report Glitches: Discussion forums are electronic and may have issues from time to time. If for any reason you experience difficulty participating, please email or send a private message to the Admin. Chances are others are having the same problem.
7. Be Patient: Read everything in the discussion thread before replying. This will help you avoid repeating something someone else has already contributed. Acknowledge the points made with which you agree and suggest alternatives for those with which you don’t.
8. Help Others: You may have more experience with online discussion forums than other members. Give them a hand. Show them it’s not so hard. They’re really going to appreciate it!
Please note: The board moderators have the authority to monitor and edit or remove any messages that do not abide by board rules and policies. Repeat offenders will be prevented from further accessing the discussion forum.
Please contact the forum Admin if you have any issues or feel there are any posts that do not abide by these ground rules.
